Wells Fargo is seeking a Product Management Manager to provide horizontal product oversight and production enablement across L2 products supporting Fraud Detection Operations.  This role will have direct span of control over multiple scrum teams ensuring safe, well governed releases, deployment readiness, production stability, and strong risk and control execution.  This position partners closely with Product Owners, Technology, Operations, Risk, and Audit to ensure product changes are introduced into production in a controlled and predictable manner, issues are effectively prioritized and resolved, and regulatory and audit expectations are met.  

  

  

In this role, you will: 

Product Leadership & Strategy 

  • Partner with business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, and analytics teams to identify and prioritize strategic initiatives. 
  • Balance short-term operational needs with long-term platform modernization and innovation objectives. 
  • Ensure product investments align with organizational goals, customer protection strategies, and fraud prevention objectives. 

Agile Delivery Management

  • Lead multiple Scrum teams delivering enhancements, regulatory requirements, defect remediation, and strategic initiatives. 
  • Monitor sprint execution, release planning, and delivery milestones to ensure commitments are achieved on time and within scope. 
  • Identify and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and impediments impacting delivery. 

Product Owner Leadership 

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight for Product Owners supporting multiple applications and business capabilities. 
  • Ensure Product Owners maintain prioritized backlogs, clearly defined requirements, and well-groomed user stories. 
  • Establish performance expectations and accountability for delivery outcomes. 
  • Promote consistency in Agile practices, product management standards, and stakeholder engagement across teams. 

Stakeholder & Partner Management 

  • Build strong relationships with operational leaders to understand evolving fraud trends and business needs. 
  • Facilitate cross-functional decision-making and drive alignment among diverse stakeholder groups. 
  • Communicate progress, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders. 

Risk & Compliance Governance 

  • Ensure products and processes adhere to regulatory, risk, security, and compliance requirements. 
  • Partner with governance, legal, and control organizations to support audits, examinations, and regulatory initiatives. 
  • Maintain appropriate controls and documentation throughout the product lifecycle. 
  • Lead remediation efforts related to risk findings and compliance requirements. 

Team Leadership & Development 

  • Develop a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 
  • Mentor Product Owners and product professionals to strengthen product management capabilities. 
  • Foster strong collaboration across business, operations, and technology organizations. 
  • Lead organizational change initiatives and promote Agile product management best practices. 


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, product development experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • 8+ years’ experience in leading product management for high visibility products
  • 6+ year direct management experience
  • Experience supporting customer‑impacting or regulated platforms, such as Fraud Detection Operations 
  • Proficiency with Agile delivery models and tools such as JIRA and Confluence 
  • Strong dependency management skills and ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels 
  • Proven ability to influence and drive outcomes within a matrixed environment 
  • Demonstrated expertise in Design Thinking and Lean techniques to elicit Product delivery strategy.
  • Experience defining product KPIs and success metrics.
  • Experience delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility and often ambiguous environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge and depth necessary to propose and influence new product and feature ideas, with technology & business partners
  • Previously driven business processes to include assessment of impacts, risks, prioritization, and market analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify business challenges, and lead the product vision, and writing clear/concise requirements with consideration for the end-to-end experience.

Job Expectations:

  • Ability travel 10% of the time  
  • Hybrid role, 3 days in the office, 2 remote
