A Day in the Life

We are seeking a committed professional to join our team. While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential for this role. Candidates selected for this program must be willing to relocate for training and after the completion of the three-year training period. Full-time sales roles are contingent upon the availability of open territories. Please note that we cannot guarantee an opening in the training territory.

Build a foundation in Device Sales by providing (Cardiac Rhythm Management) CRM service and sales support in this training opportunity.

Program Overview:Ā The Sales Training Excellence Program (STEP) is a paid two -three yearĀ training program designed to provide candidates withĀ a strong foundationĀ in device sales, specifically focusing on Cardiac Rhythm Management. The program is structured as followed:Ā

Year One:Ā The first year will involve an intense focus on training and clinical aptitude, ensuring candidates develop a deep understanding of the products and their clinical applications.Ā

Year Two:Ā The second year will shift the focus towards the sales nature of Cardiac Rhythm Management, providing candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in a sales environment.Ā

Year Three:Ā During the third year, STEP candidates will continue to run patient cases and begin applying for open sales territory throughout the United States.Ā

A DAY IN THE LIFE:Ā Ā POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Ā 

Technical Support:Ā Ā 

  • Complete clinical/technical trainingĀ 

  • RepresentsĀ Medtronic during surgeries and implants of products to provide troubleshooting and other technicalĀ assistance.Ā Ā 

  • Provides technical support with device reprogramming, follow-ups andĀ trouble-shootingĀ in hospitals and clinics.Ā 

  • Provides onĀ call support as needed for surgeries, device reprogramming, troubleshooting, follow-up enrollments, etc. on evenings and weekends.Ā

2. Educational Support:Ā Ā 

  • Educates physicians and allied healthcare professionals on technical matters relating to our products andĀ therapiesĀ 

  • Provides training and resources for allied healthcare professionals to enable them to conduct training for their personnel ("train the trainer").Ā Ā 

Ā 

3. Sales Support:Ā Ā 

  • Completes sales trainingĀ processĀ 

  • During/following cases:Ā Ā 

  • Completes necessary documentation (e.g., implant registration, salesforce.com,Ā mStar) and phone calls (customer service).Ā Ā 

  • Updates sales representatives concerning cases. ImmediatelyĀ notifiesĀ representativesĀ regardingĀ issues or problems requiring follow-up.Ā Ā 

  • Serves asĀ effectiveĀ Medtronic representative to physicians and support staffĀ regardingĀ Medtronic products,Ā serviceĀ and support.Ā Ā 

  • Manages inventories (consignment, trunk and district office, loaner products) and provides support with rotation and delivery toĀ optimizeĀ customer service and efficiency.Ā Ā 

  • PromotesĀ CarelinkĀ enrollments atĀ timeĀ of implants.Ā Ā 

  • Requests and obtains purchase orders after implants per district guidelines.Ā Ā 

  • Conducts regular unsolicited calls to hospitals or clinics.Ā Ā 

  • Maintains current knowledgeĀ regardingĀ Medtronic therapies, programs, products,Ā servicesĀ and competitive products.Ā Ā 

  • Maintains open, effective communication with all Medtronic personnel and customers.Ā

  • Ability to travel extensively with ease (approx. 10% of time)Ā 

  • Must be able to drive approximately 80% of the time within assignedĀ territoryĀ

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$85000 - $95000
