A Day in the Life
Renal Denervation (RDN) is part of Medtronicās Coronary & Renal Denervation portfolio and is focused on advancing treatment options for patients with uncontrolled hypertension. The portfolio is dedicated to expanding awareness, adoption, and access to innovative therapies that address a significant global health challenge. This role sits within the marketing organization and is responsible for shaping direct-to-consumer (DTC) marketing strategy, digital engagement, and patient activation initiatives that support commercial growth and patient education.
This position is based in Mounds View, Minnesota and follows an onsite work model, with a minimum of four days per week in the office to support cross-functional collaboration and business priorities. This role will travel 5%-10%.

The Senior Principal Integrated Marketing Specialist leads the direct-to-consumer marketing strategy for the Renal Denervation portfolio. This role is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing programs that drive consumer awareness, engagement, and conversion while improving the patient experience across digital and omnichannel touchpoints. The position partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders and external agencies to deliver data-driven campaigns, patient-focused content, and measurable business results.
Primary Responsibilities:
DTC strategy & integrated planning:
Own the strategic vision, messaging strategy, and integrated marketing plans for consumer demand generation for RDN, ensuring alignment with business objectives, brand strategy, key market priorities, and audience insights.
Develop annual/quarterly plans, investment recommendations, and channel mix strategies spanning awareness through conversion.
Digital experience leadership (website + patient experience):
Lead strategy, governance, and ongoing optimization of the RDN DTC website to improve education, engagement, and conversion across priority patient segments.
Drive digital patient experience initiatives across touchpoints (website, advertising experiences, landing pages, email, SMS, SEO, Gen AI, PPC, and related journeys).
Consumer campaign leadership:
Lead development and strategic management of consumer awareness/demand campaigns in key markets, including agency oversight, briefing, creative development, and performance optimization.
Elevate the patient voice:
Create and manage a patient testimonial strategy and program (story identification, content development, approvals process partnership, deployment planning, and measurement) to strengthen trust and relevance.
Enable shared decision-making & conversation tools:
Develop tools and content that help patients and physicians engage in informed discussions (e.g., shared decision-making resources, education tools, and visit discussion guides).
Cross-functional leadership & alignment:
Partner closely with a cross-functional marketing organization and key stakeholders to ensure message consistency and āone-teamā harmony across DTC initiatives.
Provide strategic direction to agencies and internal partners; influence without authority and drive clarity, prioritization, and speed of execution.
Measurement & insights:
Define success metrics and measurement approach for DTC initiatives; translate performance data and market insights into optimization actions and strategic recommendations.
Budget management:
Plan, track, and report creative and printing chargebacks; provide input on vendor SOWs for owned projects.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelorās degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 8+ years of relevant experience in integrated marketing, consumer marketing, digital marketing, demand generation or related.
Experience leading integrated marketing and consumer demand-generation initiatives from strategy development through execution and measurement.
Experience managing digital marketing programs, including websites, paid media, customer relationship management channels such as email and SMS, and content strategy.
Experience leading agency partners and cross-functional stakeholders in complex marketing initiatives.
Experience developing and presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in healthcare, medical technology, life sciences, or other regulated marketing environments.
Experience building patient advocacy, testimonial, or consumer storytelling programs.
Experience launching or scaling omnichannel marketing campaigns across multiple markets or customer segments.
Experience developing brand strategies and translating them into measurable full-funnel marketing programs.
Experience communicating complex scientific, clinical, or technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner for consumer audiences.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California.
