Our client is seeking an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to support all aspects of plant accounting and financial operations. This role partners closely with plant leadership and corporate finance to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and reliable cost and inventory accounting. The position also serves as backup to the Finance Manager when needed.

Contract Duration: 3 months (extension possible based on business needs) | W2
Responsibilities:
- Support internal and external audit requests.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Perform additional plant accounting duties as assigned.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and assist with month-end close.
- Assist with monthly forecasts and annual budgeting processes.
- Track capital project spending and manage capitalization activities.
- Generate data and analysis from ERP systems for internal and external reporting.
- Maintain and execute financial controls, including internal controls and SOX-related activities.
- Coordinate physical inventory activities and reconcile perpetual inventory to the general ledger.
- Provide accounting guidance and reporting support for financial transactions across plant operations.
- Support and manage standard cost processes for material, labor, and overhead, including cost roll updates.
- Conduct cost studies, business evaluations, and special projects aimed at cost reduction and profit improvement.
- Partner with materials and inventory teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and materials transaction accounting.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Background check and drug screen required.
- Critical evaluation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Financial expertise and strong business acumen.
- Proficiency in Excel and general ledger accounting.
- Ethical practice and adherence to financial controls.
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- ERP experience (QAD, MFG/Pro, or comparable manufacturing ERP)
- Understanding of customer-specific requirements and health/safety protocols.
- Strong background in plant accounting, inventory accounting, and standard costing.
Preferred Skills:
- Cost accounting experience.
- Experience with Agile PLM or IPM systems.
- Familiarity with ISO9001, IATF16949, or ISO14001 environments.
Work Environment:
- PPE required on production floor (safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses)
