This National Guard position is for a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, Position Description Number T5127P01 and is part of the UNITED STATES PROPERTY AND FISCAL OFFICE, National Guard. Duties
As a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST (GS-0501-09), you will serve as the subject matter expert for day-to-day processing across the various systems utilized within the section and to serve as liaison with adjacent departments as needed. Professional pay services include the examination, analysis, presentation, and interpretation of pay entitlements to Soldiers, Civilians, and Vendors. This position requires continuing independent review of effected pay accounts, and work reconciliations, corrections, and resolution of the most diverse, complex pay conditions of accounts.

Education
Do you meet the following Education requirement(s)? If using only education to qualify for the GS-09 position, must have master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. OR LL.B. OR J.D., in a related field. OR Combining Education and Experience: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond a four year degree in a related field to the position. Minimum Educational Requirement: Completed undergraduate or graduate education, the awarded college degree should be in one of, or a combination of the following disciplines: accounting, business, finance, economics, math, statistics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organizational management. Undergraduate Education: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree Graduate Education: Education at the graduate level in an accredited college or university You must provide Official Transcripts as documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.

If you don't have your DD-214, you may request it after discharge from the National Archives. -If you are a veteran within 120 days of discharge, you must submit signed documentation from the Armed Forces certifying: 1) your expected release/retirement from active duty, 2) under honorable conditions, 3) your pay grade/rank/rate at time of discharge, 4) dates of active duty service, 5) any campaign or expeditionary medals received 6) dated within 120 days of your separation. -If you are a Disabled Veteran, Purple Heart Recipient, or Mother or Spouse of a Disabled or Deceased Veteran, you must submit all additional proof required by the SF15, and if applicable, a completed SF15. If you are a male applicant who was born after 12/31/1959 and are required to register under the Military Selective Service Act, the Defense Authorization Act of 1986 requires that you be registered or you are not eligible for appointment in this agency (Register | Selective Service System : Selective Service System (sss.gov)). This position is an indefinite appointment that may be made permanent later without competition. Employees hired under indefinite appointments may not exceed 5 years (consecutive) time with the agency. The applicant selected may be released at any time subject to a 30-day notice and advised of his/her rights and benefits to which entitled. If a permanent employee accepts this indefinite position, their tenure will change from permanent to indefinite. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. Head of Agency requests to exceed 14 days in a calendar year must be approved in advance by the National Guard, Director of Manpower and Personnel NGB-J1.
