Duties

Reviews expenditures to ensure they are legal, proper, correct, within the local operating budget, and in accordance with the appropriate laws, regulations, and guidelines. Performs special studies, analysis, and/or audits to identify accounting, budget, and manpower deficiencies. Reviews transactions for accuracy and legal compliance in a financial database. Drafts briefings to summarize financial issues and/or impact of policy changes.

This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. Continued employment requires written certification that it advances the public interest. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a Human Capital and Resource Management (HC/RM) Career Field position. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Management may select any any grade level GS-05, GS-07, GS-09 or GS-11. Salary Ranges for each grade level is listed below.
