Summary
This position is located within the Office of Industrial Base Resilience (IBR), supporting the Warfighting Investments, Resourcing & Execution (WIRE) directorate. The incumbent plays a critical role in strengthening the competitive posture and long-term resilience of the U.S. Defense Industrial Base (DIB) in alignment with the National Defense Strategy.
Duties

This position is being filled using Direct Hire Authority (DHA) authorized under the Department of War Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) for position in the Business and Technical Management Professional Career Path (NH). Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Responsibilities include conducting data-driven industrial base analyses in coordination with Department of War (DoW) services, agencies, and the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) components. The role involves defining industrial base health metrics and integrating supply chain risk management, geopolitical intelligence, economic indicators, and acquisition/ Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) data to inform policy and investment strategies. This position leads cross-functional teams composed of DoW, interagency, industry, and allied representatives to develop mitigation strategies and implement industrial policy and investment initiatives. The incumbent analyzes the impact of industrial policy on defense systems, munitions, and emerging technologies, and drafts recommendations for legislation, Executive Orders, DFARS rulemaking, and prohibited sourcing guidance. A core function of the role is to proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, formulate actionable insights, and present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
