In this role, you will architect the performanceĀ & developmentĀ culture for our 55,000+ teammates, ensuring every individual knows their impact, understands how they can continuously grow, and has a clear path forward. By developing the tools, processes, and mindsets that sustain performanceĀ & developmentĀ across the teammate lifecycle, you will shape the direction of ourĀ talentĀ strategy and leaveĀ a lasting legacyĀ on VillageĀ talent.Ā
You will report to the Sr.āÆDirector of Talent Management, and act asĀ a key collaboratorĀ to leaders across Talent Management & Development and the broader People Teams.Ā
WhatĀ YouāllĀ Do:Ā Ā
Shape Strategy & Own Execution:Ā Develop and own the short-to-midterm strategy for performance managementĀ within a broader talentĀ system. You will proactively tackle complex, large-scale challenges toĀ establishĀ key performance indicators (KPIs),Ā evolve performance standards (e.g.Ā AI fluency),Ā continuous listening loops, and metrics that continuously raise the bar for performance.Ā Ā
Drive End-to-End Solutions:Ā Design, deploy, and refine the infrastructure that enables leaders to drive clarity and performanceĀ āĀ includingĀ calibration governance, performance reviews,Ā performance standardsĀ input,Ā continuous feedback, andĀ goal-setting.Ā Execute solutions in partnership with HRBPs to ensureĀ solutionsĀ areĀ equitableĀ andĀ āstickā across the teammate lifecycle.Ā Ā Ā
Link Performance to Rewards:Ā Partner closely with Total Rewards to ensure that performance calibration and evaluation directly and equitably inform merit and bonus cycles.Ā Ā
Lead Cross-Functionally:Ā Work with leaders across lanes (e.g., Talent Acquisition,Ā Onboarding,Ā Learning & Development, HR Business Partners, People Insights & Analytics) to translate strategy into broad action and deliver on Village-wide goals.Ā Establish loops withĀ Internal Mobility and Talent Planning toĀ ensureĀ we are growing the right teammates toĀ succeed inĀ future roles.Ā
Influence & Innovate:Ā CollaborateĀ across people teams and lane leadersĀ to solve challenges and deliver innovations.Ā CommunicateĀ compellingly toĀ drive support and commitment from senior executives to front-line teammates.Ā

Who You Are:Ā Ā
Experienced Leader:Ā 7+ years of experience in strategy development, managing a diverse portfolio of strategic projects, scaled deployments, change management, and cross-functional leadership. Experience managing a direct report while driving results throughĀ aĀ matrixedĀ staffing structure.Ā Ā
Strategic & Systems Thinker:Ā ProvenĀ track recordĀ of shaping strategy, navigating ambiguity, and creating alignment with executives and key stakeholders on undefined problems.Ā Ā
Execution-Oriented Partner:Ā DemonstratedĀ ability to oversee large-scale, multi-phased strategic initiatives, effectivelyĀ leveragingĀ project management support to balance high-level vision with tactical delivery.Ā
Change Agent:Ā Cultivates drive in self and others to embrace change. Anticipates roadblocks and engages the right resources to successfully drive organizational transformation.Ā Ā
Exceptional Communicator:Ā Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to adapt your message to gainĀ buy-inĀ and respectfully influence decision-making at all levels.Ā Ā
HR TechnologyĀ Enthusiast:Ā Familiarity with enterprise HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday) and experienceĀ leveragingĀ technology to scale performance management solutions.Ā Ā
Data-Driven Problem Solver:Ā Ability to analyze large data sets,Ā identifyĀ trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies that improve outcomes.Ā
Education:Ā Bachelorās degreeĀ required;Ā Masterās degree in Industrial/OrganizationalĀ (I/O) Psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is strongly preferred.Ā

The Salary Range for the role is $115,000.00Ā -Ā $183,000.00 per year.ĀĀ

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hourWashington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.71/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hourFor location-specific minimum wage details, see the following link: DaVita.jobs/WageRates
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidateās qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
