POSITION OVERVIEW
The Treasury Management Advisor partners with business clients, prospects, and internal relationship teams to design and recommend treasury management solutions that optimize cash flow, liquidity, and transaction efficiency. The role provides consultative expertise by analyzing client needs, recommending appropriate treasury products and services, and partnering with Treasury & Client Services Associates and operations teams to support implementation and ongoing use.
Working independently and collaboratively with relationship managers, lending, branch operations, and the Treasury Services & Business Banking Director, the Advisor supports business development, client onboarding, and service delivery. The position plays a leadership role in promoting treasury management capabilities, supporting relationship teams in strengthening client relationships through treasury expertise, and ensuring solutions are delivered in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Sales & Business Development

  • Partner with Relationship Teams to Identify, pursue, and develop new treasury management business aligned with BSB’s strategic direction and business objectives.
  • Conduct joint and prospect calls with Relationship Teams and the Treasury Services & Business Banking Director to strengthen relationships and expand product usage.
  • Achieve treasury management sales and revenue goals through consultative needs assessments and solution based recommendations.
  • Identify treasury product expansion opportunities within existing client relationships and collaborate with relationship partners to support broader banking objectives and deepen client engagement.
  • Provide treasury management expertise during business development efforts, sales presentations, and client onboarding activities.
  • Participate in product-focused marketing initiatives, client education efforts, and follow-up activities to promote treasury solutions and enhance client adoption.

Client Relationship Management

  • Support relationship managers by providing treasury expertise in client interactions, onsite visits, and ongoing needs assessments.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on treasury management products for clients and internal relationship partners.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to resolve service issues and ensure a consistent, high quality client experience.
  • Maintain accountability for the client’s treasury management experience related to treasury products and communicate feedback and insights to the Treasury Services & Business Banking Director; overall relationship ownership remains with the relationship team.

Product Expertise, Analysis & Coordination

  • Maintain strong knowledge of treasury management solutions, including payments, deposits, online banking tools, and fraud prevention services.
  • Analyze client account structures, product usage, and associated costs to recommend appropriate and effective treasury solutions.
  • Support client onboarding, implementation, and post implementation reviews to ensure optimal product utilization.
  • Monitor client treasury activity and proactively identify opportunities for optimization, retention, and relationship growth.
  • Track sales activity, pipeline development, and client engagement and provide reporting or insights to management as requested.
  • Does not own the overall client relationship and is not responsible for operational execution.

Compliance, Risk & Controls

  • Ensure all treasury management products, services, and client activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and risk management standards.
  • Adhere to established internal controls, documentation, and approval requirements related to treasury management services.
  • Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to identify, mitigate, and escalate regulatory, operational, and fraud risks.
  • Complete all required compliance training, certifications, and regulatory tasks within established timelines.

  • This position is based in a non-confined office setting where the employee is free to move about as needed. This role is performed in a typical office environment. For hybrid and remote positions, work may also be performed away from BSB worksites, depending on business needs. Employees working remotely are required to maintain a dependable, high-speed internet connection and a work environment conducive to frequent phone and video calls, where private, confidential, or proprietary information cannot be seen, overheard, or otherwise accessed by unauthorized individuals.
  • This position requires writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting up to 10 pounds, driving (personal, company, or rental vehicle on occasion), carrying, sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and using close, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This position may require the ability to operate any or all the following: personal computer, cellular telephone, printer, fax, and other standard office equipment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in treasury management product advisory and consultative sales, or a directly related client facing banking role.
  • Direct experience working with treasury management products and services, including payments, deposits, online banking, and fraud prevention.
  • Experience meeting assigned sales goals or revenue targets in a treasury management, cash management, or similar advisory role.
  • Experience analyzing client account structures, product usage, and pricing or cost models.
  • Experience preparing and delivering client proposals or product presentations.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with clients and internal business partners.
  • Ability to organize work, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a relationship team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, and use of internet based business tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating treasury management solutions with client accounting or ERP systems.
  • Experience supporting complex commercial or corporate banking relationships.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple internal banking functions (e.g., relationship management, operations, risk, compliance).
  • Experience identifying and pursuing cross sell opportunities within an existing client portfolio.
  • Knowledge of banking products and services beyond treasury management.
  • Experience participating in product marketing initiatives or portfolio growth activities.
  • Experience working within regulatory and compliance frameworks applicable to treasury management products.

COMPENSATION
The posted pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role but may include ranges from the different geographies where this position may be based. New employees' starting pay is usually from the start of the range to approximately 25% of the max, more qualified and/or experienced employees may start near the middle of the range for their geography. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range.

Compensation for our organization is based on factors that include the role, required knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies, and candidates’ relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Our pay ranges are based on national living wage indexes, such as MIT's living wage index, to enable us to pay our employees beyond what are standard practices for many employers, and also take into account geographically-specific recent compensation market survey data for each position.
