Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a FINANCIAL MANAGER, Position Description Number T5133000 and is part of the CO USPFO, National Guard. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Chief Financial Officer (FM) for the state Army National Guard (ARNG).
Duties
Directs financial management policy in support of the ARNG military organizations and units. Serves as the principal financial advisor and the technical expert to the state Adjutant General (AG), USPFO, senior staff management, major subordinate commands, and the Program Budget Advisory Council (PBAC). Determines the significant impact of projected DOD, DA, NGB and other government programs affecting the state ARNG's fiscal policies. Writes, implements and maintains an effective system of financial management controls for the state ARNG. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY CONTROLS: Works under the general supervision of the USPFO who provides general policy guidance and is delegated commensurate authority to make final decisions and commitments within broad parameters of financial management. *THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT LEVEL 3 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d.

For Priority Placement Program (PPP) DoD Military Reserve (MR) and National Guard (NG) Preference Eligible Technicians Receiving Disability Retirement: The applicant MUST submit a copy of the "Military Reserve and National Guard Technician Disability PPP Self-Certification Checklist." This must be accompanied by appropriate documentation, such as the notification letter stating ineligibility for Reserve membership due to a service-connected disability. For Priority Placement Program (PPP) DoD Military Spouse Preference (MSP) Eligible: The applicant MUST include a copy of the "Military Spouse PPP Self-Certification Checklist" along with the documents identified in the vacancy announcement to verify eligibility for MSP. For Priority Placement Program (PPP) DoD Retained Grade Preference Eligible: The applicant MUST submit a copy of the "Retained Grade PPP Self-Certification Checklist." This must be accompanied by appropriate documentation, such as a RIF change-to-lower-grade notice and an SF-50 reflecting the RIF change to a lower grade. Failure to submit the required documentation will result in the applicant not being considered for the application-based PPP. While you are still considered as a normal applicant, you will not be considered for the Priority Placement Program.
