THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a Internal Control Analyst, Position Description Number T59034P1 and is part of the WI 128 ARW, National Guard.
Duties
Provides administrative oversight of the Quality Assurance (QA) Program. Examines all areas to determine the effectiveness of procedures and also determines if functional areas are recording quality data upon which accurate management conclusions and decisions are based. Ensures effective and efficient quality standards and internal controls are in place at base level operations. Independently conducts various reviews to assess organizational performance driven by SAF, ANG and Wing Requirements. Ensure funds are safeguarded against waste, loss and misappropriation, and all remittances and payments are properly accounted for. Reviews retrieval data provided by the systems to screen for any unauthorized access or dual access conflicts between the payable systems and the general accounting systems. Gathers data, tracks discrepancies, prepares trend charts, and facilitates discussions with personnel at financial or QA meetings. *** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. ***
Requirements
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments4. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. May be subject to furlough actions. Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate Tricare eligibility. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
