We're seeking someone to join our New Product Team as an Associate in Investment Management Finance (IM Finance) to be involved in accounting, finance and process transformation.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. The role will reside within Investment Management Finance (IM Finance) which is a department dedicated to providing support to Morgan Stanley's Investment Management segment ("MSIM"), a leading global asset manager across the public and private markets. The successful candidate will join the New Product Team which support MSIM new business line and product launches. The team serves as the central point of contact within Finance.

What you'll do in the role:
Coordinate support across Finance for new products, including signing off on new products
Attend multiple weekly working group meetings, documenting updates, tracking status updates, and following up with questions
Proactively and independently maintain pipeline document with information that comes from weekly working group meetings and other sources
Independently maintain team Sharepoint site, upload documents, create summaries, maintain email distribution group and send out weekly updates, request cost centers
Together with manager, host weekly meetings with Finance stakeholders
Review legal agreements and summarize key terms for manager to analyze and provide feedback
Respond to ad hoc requests related to new products and all associated processes
Consult with peers, management, other areas of Finance & Accounting and the business as needed
Proactively seek to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness throughout
Provide surge support for Controllership in IM Finance
What you'll bring to the role:
Bachelor's degree, Finance or Accounting is preferred
Desired 3+ years of work experience
Asset management or Financial Services industries experience is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues of all levels across the Firm.
Excellent organizational skills, time management skills and ability to meet deadlines, handle pressure situations, and balance multiple tasks on a daily basis.
Committed and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic, positive attitude who can demonstrate initiative and problem-solving abilities
Analytical mindset with attention to detail
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally on projects and new initiatives
Desired technical skills include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience working in accounting subledgers and within a network of connected financial systems is a plus
Work toward CPA, CFA, other certifications a plus

Salary range for the position: $60,000 - $90,000/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
