Our client is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of CNC and metal fabrication equipment.

This role is responsible for maintaining critical production equipment, reducing downtime, supporting preventive maintenance initiatives, and serving as a technical resource within the manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have significant hands-on experience working with CNC fabrication equipment and strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.

Compensation: $35-$45 per hour + $1,000 Sign-On Bonus

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM

Please Note: Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of approximately 30-45 minutes from the work location

Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of CNC production equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures.
  • Perform emergency breakdown repairs to restore production operations quickly and safely.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
  • Support the maintenance of laser cutting systems, CNC punching equipment, press brakes, and related fabrication machinery.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

  • Lead preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Support equipment inspections and maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and equipment records.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.

Equipment Optimization

  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment.
  • Support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a senior technical resource for maintenance-related issues.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve manufacturing efficiency.

Documentation & Technical Support

  • Maintain maintenance records and equipment history.
  • Support troubleshooting of industrial control systems and basic PLC-related issues.
  • Utilize maintenance tracking systems and CMMS software to document work completed.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • All educational levels will be considered.
  • Experience working in fast-paced production environments.
  • Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC or metal fabrication equipment.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and emergency repairs.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CNC manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with industrial controls and PLC troubleshooting.
  • Experience with CMMS or maintenance tracking software.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
  • Experience supporting press brakes, CNC laser systems, turret presses, or similar fabrication equipment.
  • Associate degree or technical training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Standing, walking, bending, lifting, and climbing may be required.
  • Exposure to noise, vibration, and industrial production conditions.
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to production equipment and moving machinery.
