Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA is searching for an Administrative Support Specialist for 18 Space Defense Squadron (NH-0301-02, GS-05/11 equivalent). Description: To serve as an administrative support specialist for all civilian personnel matters performing a range of employees, labor management, management advisory functions and position description creation/modification as well as performing a variety of financial management assignments as a resource advisor. Ideal Candidate: Forward-thinking, solution oriented, agile, team player, proactive, analytical skills, and great interpersonal skills. Recruitment Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of commonly used budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes to formulate, justify, and execute assigned budget in support of the mission, structure, goals, work processes, and programs of unit supported. Knowledge of methods to collect, analyze and interpret data in areas of personnel management, financial management and manpower. Knowledge of experience with learn Human Resources laws and procedures sufficient to provide advice and guidance to management and inform employees. Knowledge and experience with installation civilian personnel services and personnel management practices such as recruitment, classification, and employee management relations sufficient to advise and support management with initial steps to take on personnel matters. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.
