Summary

If selected, you will provide assistance and guidance to New World Screwworm management, ensuring a cohesive Agency approach to ensure the protection of US livestock and other animal industries.

Duties

The duties may include, but are not limited to: Participate in the development and monitoring of Mexico and Central American screwworm surveillance and livestock movement controls Develops and maintains relationships with international counterparts to advance screwworm eradication Keep agency and program leadership fully informed of program activities and results Works with NWS management to help identify pertinent information from international and domestic partners for use in the development of a national strategy and personnel deployment plans Incumbent participates in international delegations, covering issues of animal and plant health and inspection policy, legislation, regulation, management, and cooperative, multi-disciplinary initiate Prepares written correspondence, which includes operational plans, performance reports, briefing papers, decision memoranda, position papers, and other administrative documents for senior level audience
