Working from an assigned lead queue, the Outbound Specialist places timely calls at key points in the client lifecycle, guides clients through account setup and digital enrollment, and resolves or escalates issues that create friction. This is an individual-contributor role that partners closely with bankers, product, and operations teams.
Successful candidates are confident on the phone, resilient in an outbound calling environment, and motivated by measurable outcomes such as contact rate, funding, and digital banking tools adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Exercise judgment and make decisions that have positive operational impacts on the business line.
- Conduct proactive outbound outreach to assigned clients, maintaining a disciplined call cadence, follow-up, and accurate documentation.
- Drive core onboarding outcomes, including account funding, online banking enrollment, debit card activation, and bill pay or money movement setup.
- Assist with the resolution of client issues or Banker questions, leveraging applicable tools to resolve or escalate to the appropriate support channel.
- Identify client needs and refer opportunities to bankers and partner teams for follow-up.
- Interact with clients and other departments to ensure successful client outcomes, communicating to the client as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- One to four years of client management, outbound sales, or contact center experience
Preferred Skills & Experiences
- Working knowledge of business banking and money movement products, or the ability to ramp quickly
- Proven outbound calling experience with consistent performance against contact and conversion goals
- Detailed knowledge of business, financials, products and services, and the market
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort navigating multiple digital banking systems
- Basic knowledge of account management, project management, operations, and logistics
- Ability to manage high call volume, multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously
- Proven customer service and client relations skills, including situational leadership and dispute or conflict resolution
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $80,370.00 - 98,230.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
