Summary

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number PDD0878P01 and is part of the WY Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics, Wyoming Army National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.

Duties

This position is located in the Wyoming Army National Guard's Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics/G4 (DCSLOG/G4), Distribution Management Division, Supply and Services Branch. Its purpose is to plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage all command supply and services functions. (1) Plans, organizes and manages supply and services functions to include subsistence management and command food service programs. (2) Advises the DOL Logistics Management Officer (LMO) on command supply and services status and recommends support required for current and proposed operations. (3) Maintains current command supply analysis on trends of effectiveness and efficiency. (4) Receives fiscal information from each subordinate function to prepare and review budget estimates for the command supply and services functions. ** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. **

Requirements

KEY REQUIREMENTS: Must submit IPPS-A STP with application. Must meet minimum/specialized experience req. for position and grade level. Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain a T3/SECRET security clearance. May be required to successfully complete a two-year trial period. Federal employment suitability is determined by a background investigation. Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval. PCS costs are not authorized. Must be willing to relocate at own expense if selected. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position over 180 days will result in suspension or termination of these military incentives. Military Technicians in the excepted service will wear the appropriate uniform while performing as a technician. Veteran's preference does not apply to National Guard Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f). 1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. 4. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. 5. Duties and responsibilities may significantly impact the environment. Responsible to maintain awareness of environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, organization, and its changing mission.
