Job Description

Are you an experienced instrumentation professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and ensuring critical laboratory systems operate at peak performance? Eurofins is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Specialist to provide technical leadership in the maintenance, calibration, qualification, and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation supporting regulated scientific environments.

In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert for a wide range of laboratory equipment, ensuring instruments remain compliant, reliable, and ready to support high-quality analytical testing. You will partner with laboratory, quality, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, support instrument lifecycle management, and provide guidance and training to technical staff.

What You'll Do

  • Perform advanced maintenance, calibration, qualification, troubleshooting, and repair of laboratory instrumentation.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment remains in a validated and compliant state through preventative maintenance, routine testing, and qualification activities.
  • Develop, execute, and document instrument validations, investigations, and technical assessments in accordance with GMP/GxP requirements.
  • Support the implementation and validation of new instrumentation and technologies.
  • Author and review technical documentation, including procedures, validation protocols, investigation reports, and test scripts.
  • Provide technical mentorship, training, and guidance to laboratory and engineering personnel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives focused on instrumentation performance and laboratory productivity.
  • Maintain compliance with quality systems, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting laboratory instrumentation within regulated environments.
  • Strong experience with instrument calibration, qualification, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience developing and executing validation protocols, test scripts, and other qualification documentation.
  • Proven ability to investigate non-routine instrument issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Experience authoring technical documentation, procedures, and investigations.
  • Familiarity with GMP, GLP, GxP, or other regulated laboratory environments.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, Pennsylvania are encouraged to apply.
