Summary
This position is located at Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration(TIGTA),Office of Mission Support(OMS). As a Security Officer (Assistant Director Personnel Security), your primary responsibility will be supervisory control over the planning, development, implementation, and oversight of the federal personnel, industrial and information security, and National Security Clearance (NSC) programs at the TIGTA.
Duties
As a Security Officer (Assistant Director Personnel Security), you will: Collaborate internally with Human Capital and/or TIGTA's Office of Chief Counsel for assistance and advisement relating to personnel matters requiring official action or potential for official action in the future. Carry out disciplinary and corrective action on performance or conduct issues of subordinate employees ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. Review, approve, and carry out disciplinary actions of subordinate employees, ensuring documentation is complete and supportable to the actions carried out. Oversee all activities of the federal PERSEC, industrial and information security, and NSC programs at the TIGTA. Maintains professional contact with the Director, HC&PS, while keeping them abreast of matters needing attention. Act as an accrediting official for the purpose of certification and accreditation activities associated with the duties and responsibilities of this position and in accordance with the Federal Information Systems Management Act of 2003 (FISMA) to include meeting mandatory FISMA continuing education and reporting requirements.
