Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a detail‑oriented, proactive, andĀ dependable Human Resources Assistant to support daily HR operations and administrative functions. Working under the direction of the Senior Director of Human Resources and the HR Manager,Ā this role plays a vital part in ensuring the HR department operates efficiently, accurately, and professionally.Ā The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and personable, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and consistently follow through on tasks with exceptional attention to detail. We are looking for someone who is flexible, eager to learn, and excited to grow their HR knowledge while making meaningful contributions to the team and supporting Goodwill's mission of creating opportunities and serving the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support for a variety of Human Resources functions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, files, and documentation.
  • Proactively assist with HR processes, workflows, and projects to ensure timely completion of department objectives.
  • Professionally respond to internal inquiries and provide support to employees and management.
  • Manage data entry, document tracking, and filing systems with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
  • Monitor assigned tasks and follow up independently to ensure deadlines and commitments are met.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and assist with special projects and departmental needs as assigned.
  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance and follow established procedures and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent years of Human Resources experience.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take initiative and work independently while remaining a strong team player.
  • Personable, professional, and customer-service oriented when interacting with employees, applicants, and leadership.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to learn new processes, systems, and responsibilities quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions while exercising sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
