The Registered Nurse in Gastroenterology will:
- Provide patient and family education consistently and appropriately.
- Consistently identify patient/family learning needs and implements appropriate education utilizing written, and/or verbal, audiovisual material.
- Strictly abide with hospital infection control and patient safety policies and procedures.
- Consistently perform all basic skills required for nursing as described on unit-based.
- Appropriately assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the patient's plan of care.
- Interpret assessment data and develops an individualized plan of care which will lead to achievable patient outcomes.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program. ADN, BSN, or MSN accepted.
- Require WI Registered Nurse license at hire. (if multistate compact license, must get WI within 3 months).
- IL RN license within 3 months of hire.
- Must be CPR certified within 3 months of hire.
- ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
- Previous experience desired in surgical services or gastroenterology.
