Duties

Serving as a Law Enforcement Specialist (Financial Fraud Instructor) GS-1801-13 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Investigative Application Branch (IAP), Investigative Operations Division (IOD), Technical Training Operations Directorate (TTO), under the Office of the Associate Director for Training Operations (TOPS) and located in Glynco, Georgia. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior-level instructor responsible for planning and conducting classroom, laboratory, and/or field instruction session as part of training programs. Typical duties include: Conducting advanced training in specialized investigative areas, including money laundering and international money laundering, asset forfeiture, internal affairs, financial investigations and analysis, and cryptocurrency investigations. Developing and implementing long and short-range training plans and formulates appropriate financial operating plans, and program procedures to ensure the training program meets the needs and interests of the organizations served. Ensuring class curriculum is administered in the proper sequence and that deviations from the established schedules receive prior approval. Leading the team of instructors that support the program the position is assigned to coordinate and performs a full range of coaching, facilitating, mentoring, planning and coordinating functions related to that program. Qualifications and evaluation
