The Opportunity

Our location in Lake Forest, Illinois, currently has an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to support our Core Diagnostics Operations team. This position can also be based out of our Chicago, Illinois office, if preferred.

 

What You’ll Work On

The Senior Financial Analyst, Core Lab Operations, provides FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) support to the Global Manufacturing Operations team. This role oversees financial processes and activities and provides analytics to support strategic business decisions.

• Consolidates monthly results and forecasts for the Core Lab Operations teams. Prepares clear and meaningful commentary and reporting for submission to Division Headquarters.

• Prepares review materials and supporting analytics for presentation to senior leadership.

• Completes monthly close activities including preparation of journal entries, spend / headcount review, variance analysis and month end reporting.

 

• Consolidates standard cost submissions from sites and collaborates with Division Headquarters to ensure alignment of standard costs and update the system.

• Provide ad hoc analysis to support key projects or other related activity as required.

• Assist in identification and implementation of process improvements and simplifications in financial and business processes.

• Work both independently and in groups in a variety of situations requiring analytical and critical thinking skills.

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• At least 4 years of experience in financial planning, analysis and accounting.
• Proficient with financial modeling, systems, tools including Excel, Hyperion Essbase and SAP.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, variance analysis skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effective communication, soft skills and prioritization of assignments.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.

The base pay for this position is

$78,000.00 – $156,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
