Summary
The Stars of Valor Fellowships Program was established to create employment opportunities for veterans, Gold Star families, and Active-Duty military spouses within the United States Senate. These positions provide fellows with the experience and exposure necessary to build a career in government. Fellows may be assigned to a Senate office in Washington, DC, or State offices across the country. The fellowship is a two-year, paid, full-time employment opportunity. Click here to apply.
Duties
Specific duties for each Senate office will be discussed during the interview process. Duties will vary depending on the specific requirements of each office. Job duties may include but are not limited to: Working as a constituent services representative Helping local constituents resolve issues with Federal agencies Serving as liaison to local Veterans Service Organizations Attending local events and meetings on behalf of the Senator; and Performing legislative work.
Qualifications and evaluation
Your application will be evaluated by Program staff for eligibility and forwarded to the appropriate Senate office for evaluation of the quality and extent of your total accomplishments and experience. Highly qualified candidates may be interviewed and a reference check conducted.
