The Role:

The Controls Engineer is an Individual contributor with recognized expertise responsible for troubleshooting, problem solving and continuous improvement on manufacturing equipment throughout the plant.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Work cross-functionally with diverse teams throughout the plant to troubleshoot issues effectively.

  • Identify and document system vulnerabilities and develop inclusive mitigation plans; track corrective actions to ensure accountability.

  • Design and manage key strategic interfaces within systems to promote component reuse and consistency with best practices.

  • Create and implement tests to efficiently identify opportunities for design improvements.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to foster innovation and continuous improvement.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 3+ years of demonstrated technical knowledge of electrical/control systems and ability to apply these concepts within a manufacturing environment and/or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.

  • Ability to work off shift on occasion.

  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • 1+ years of experience in Control Architectures:
    -   PLC: Allen Bradley
    -   Robotics: Fanuc / ABB
    -   Vision: Cognex / Keyence

  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

  • Knowledge of high voltage power distribution.

  • Knowledge of servo motors, motion control and drives.

  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical concepts involving machine designs, process requirements involved in the manufacturing process.

  • Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment.

  • Ability to use computers, interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and learn new systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and significantly complex projects and assignments with high level of autonomy and accountability for results.

Compensation:

  • The expected base compensation for this role is: $90,000 - $139,000. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
