Mission | We deliver data-driven information solutions to protect our stakeholders and inform the most significant financial decisions in the bank.

About the Role

The Credit Risk Administration (CRA) Transformation Team is responsible for collaborating with leadership to identify and implement process improvement opportunities that focus on improving operational efficiency, strengthening compliance and governance, providing cost savings/prevention or driving strategic alignment with enterprise initiatives.

The Transformation Program Operation Specialist plays a critical role in the oversight and execution of initiatives by providing transformation assessments (e.g., discovery and scoping support, process mapping, process re-engineering, etc.) and central project planning of identified Transformation initiatives from inception to implementation. This role partners closely with our Transformation Technology Team to deliver and implement streamlined and sustainable solutions that range from medium to high complexity.

This role requires continuous stakeholder engagement to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and in alignment with identified business requirements – serving as a liaison and advocate for both our internal customers and broader initiative stakeholder team. As such, the candidate must bring a passion for customer service, a desire to lead change, and the ability to operate in a complex and highly quantitative business line.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Lead structured project discussions - eliciting information from stakeholders and translating and documenting fluid discussions into actionable recommendations and requirements
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans that are inclusive of sequencing, task-level deliverables, dependencies, and baseline versus actual tracking in Smartsheet
  • Drive plan execution with a consistent sense of urgency, timely follow-through, decision documentation, stakeholder communications and escalation of issues, bottlenecks or risks
  • Create and own visually engaging program communications, executive reporting, project materials and decision materials for stakeholders and senior management
  • Operate as a self-starter with a growth mindset – proactively identify next steps, independently advance work, seek feedback, and build proficiency in unfamiliar processes, tools and technologies in an evolving environment where priorities may shift and not all processes are fully defined
  • Provide strong credible challenge and critical thinking to navigate ambiguity and ensure alignment with program strategies and initiative requirements
  • Partner with the Transformation Technology Team throughout the development lifecycle to provide process assessment/re-engineering, control evaluation, requirement refinement, user acceptance testing, implementation readiness, and post-implementation support of production solutions

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically more than five years of project management experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Certifications: Project management, Agile, or process improvement certification—such as PMP, Certified ScrumMaster, or Lean Six Sigma.

- Industry Knowledge: Banking and financial services industry knowledge preferred

- Software Development Lifecycle: Familiarity with requirements gathering, solution design, user acceptance testing, implementation readiness, deployment, and post-implementation support

- Project Delivery: Experience with project planning tools such as Smartsheet. Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives, maintaining detailed project plans, prioritizing competing demands, and driving work to completion with a deep focus on execution, accountability, and results.

- Technical: Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform—including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI—and an understanding of how low-code solutions can support process transformation. Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or similar AI-enabled productivity tools and an interest in applying emerging technology responsibly to improve business processes.

- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills capable of engaging stakeholders and synthesizing complex information in a manner that influences and drives decisions. Ability to establish deep working relationships across diverse cross-functional teams.

- Process Improvement: Innovative mindset with an aptitude for identifying process improvements and opportunities for efficiency.

- Initiative and Learning Agility: Demonstrated self-direction, intellectual curiosity, and growth mindset, with the ability to quickly learn new processes, tools, and technologies and routinely act with a sense of urgency.

- Critical and Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex or unfamiliar subject matter, challenge assumptions constructively, identify root causes, and translate findings into practical recommendations.
