Job Description
Balance Sheet Management (BSM), a division within Corporate Treasury, is responsible for providing executive management with timely, accurate, and comprehensive forecasts of the balance sheet and net interest income (NII). BSM plays a key role in balance sheet optimization, interest rate risk management, and strategic financial planning.
This role leads enterprise-wide loan and deposit forecasting and balance sheet planning. The successful candidate will partner with Treasury and business leaders to develop and execute balance sheet, pricing, and origination strategies that enhance earnings, improve balance sheet efficiency, and align with the firm's risk appetite and financial objectives.
The role provides senior management with insights and recommendations on balance sheet positioning, earnings opportunities, and risk-return trade-offs. In partnership with Quantitative Finance, this leader will opine on forecasting methodologies, model performance, and analytical capabilities to ensure the organization can effectively navigate changing business and market conditions.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience
- 15 or more years of relevant financial management experience
- Eight or more years of management experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Asset Liability Management (ALM) and/or Interest Rate Risk (IRR) experience
- Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) experience
- Considerable knowledge of accounting and finance principles
- Expert planning, forecasting, and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of balance sheet management, loan and deposit forecasting, and Net Interest Income (NII) analysis
- Ability to assess forecasting methodologies, model performance, and analytical capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentations
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive strategic decision-making
- MBA and/or CPA preferred
Location Requirements
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $170,255.00 - $200,300.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
