As a Data Science Analyst, you'll partner with teams across the organization to develop data-driven solutions that improve processes, uncover insights, and drive better business outcomes. This role offers exposure to a broad range of projects and stakeholders, providing opportunities to apply analytics, automation, and data science techniques to real-world business problems.
We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, technically skilled, and driven to go beyond reporting to identify patterns, generate meaningful insights, and build scalable solutions that create value.
What You'll Do
Transform Data Into Actionable Insights
- Gather, integrate, and analyze data from multiple sources to answer business questions and identify opportunities.
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights within large and complex datasets.
- Apply statistical and analytical techniques to develop recommendations that support data-driven decision-making.
- Present findings in a clear, concise manner that enables stakeholders to take action.
Build Scalable Solutions
- Develop and enhance data science processes, analytical models, automation tools, and workflows.
- Use SQL and Python to query, transform, and analyze large datasets.
- Leverage technologies such as Databricks and Power Automate to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
- Support the development of AI-enabled, machine learning, and automation solutions.
Partner Across the Business
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Deliver actionable recommendations that improve performance, efficiency, and decision-making.
- Work across multiple business functions, providing analytical support on a diverse range of initiatives.
- Measure and monitor outcomes of implemented recommendations and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Drive Innovation
- Seek new ways to automate processes, improve analytics capabilities, and uncover insights.
- Contribute to the growth of data science and automation practices across the organization.
- Maintain high standards for data quality, governance, and compliance.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Four to five years of statistical and/or data analytics experience
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in analytics, advanced analytics/statistics, and predictive modeling
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets
- Experience with SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and automation
- Experience with Databricks, automation technologies, or data engineering concepts
- Experience developing analytical models, workflows, automation solutions, or AI-enabled capabilities
- Ability to translate data into actionable business insights and recommendations
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Experience partnering with stakeholders and presenting analytical findings to diverse audiences

Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $86,360.00 - $101,600.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
