Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking a Business Segment Lending - Specialized Projects Lead to serve as a key partner within Consumer & Business Banking, leading strategic initiatives that support Business Lending operations, technology transformation, process improvements, and emerging AI-related efforts.
This role acts as a primary liaison between Business Lending and cross-functional partners, including the Center of Excellence (COE), Credit, Product, Operations, Technology, and vendor-supported platforms. The successful candidate will lead complex projects from concept through implementation, coordinate stakeholder alignment, drive change management activities, and ensure business objectives are achieved through effective project execution.
This is a highly visible individual contributor role requiring strong business acumen, project leadership capabilities, executive presence, and the ability to navigate complex organizational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic Business Lending initiatives involving technology implementations, system enhancements, process improvements, and business transformation efforts.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Business Lending and the Center of Excellence (COE).
- Partner with business, technology, product, operations, and risk stakeholders to deliver complex projects and programs.
- Drive project planning, execution, implementation, and post-implementation reviews.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, user experiences, and operational effectiveness.
- Support initiatives involving lending platforms, CRM solutions, workflow technologies, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Develop communications, project updates, executive presentations, and implementation strategies for senior leadership.
- Manage competing priorities while ensuring projects remain aligned to business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Lead organizational change efforts and help drive adoption of new processes, technology, and tools.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of experience leading complex projects, programs, or business transformation initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Business Lending, Commercial Lending, Credit, Treasury Management, Banking Operations, or related financial services functions.
- Experience partnering with a Center of Excellence (COE) or similarly structured enterprise support organization.
- Experience leading technology transformation, system implementation, or digital modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with lending and customer relationship management platforms such as:
- nCino
- Salesforce
- CRM platforms
- Exposure to AI-enabled business initiatives, automation projects, or emerging technology programs.
- Strong change management and process improvement experience.
- Proven ability to influence without authority and drive results across cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills.
- Experience partnering across multiple business and technology teams to deliver enterprise-scale initiatives.
- Demonstrated success managing stakeholder relationships across various levels of an organization.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $133,365.00 - $156,900.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
