THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK/SYSADMIN), Position Description Number D2727000 and is part of the Sustainment Automation Support Management Office (SASMO), National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.

Duties

As an IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK/SYSADMIN) (GS-2210-11), you will provide support for Automated Logistics Information Systems and Mission Command Systems to all State/Territories activities/organizations and perform a wide range of specialized methods/techniques for planning; analyzing and identifying problems in order to develop and implement resolutions to administrative and systemic programs throughout the organization.

Education

If using education to qualify for this position: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree Graduate Education: Education at the graduate level (above a Bachelor's Degree) in an accredited college or university. Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. You must provide Official Transcripts as documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.

You must submit an SF-50(s) that shows permanent career or career conditional tenure to be considered (No award SF-50 will be accepted). Your last Federal performance appraisal plan must reflect a rating of Fully Successful or equivalent.

If you are a male applicant who was born after 12/31/1959 and are required to register under the Military Selective Service Act, the Defense Authorization Act of 1986 requires that you be registered or you are not eligible for appointment in this agency (Register | Selective Service System : Selective Service System (sss.gov)). ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. This position includes information assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six-month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position. This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). The employee is subject to random drug testing. Pre-employment drug testing and participation in random drug testing is a condition of employment. Note: The caveat is that the states, territories, and the district cannot drug test until a drug free workplace policy has been established and approved by the United States Department of Health and Human Services. plan.
