Summary

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK/SYSADMIN), Position Description Number D2727000 and is part of the Sustainment Automation Support Management Office (SASMO), National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.

Duties

As an IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK/SYSADMIN) (GS-2210-11), you will provide support for Automated Logistics Information Systems and Mission Command Systems to all State/Territories activities/organizations and perform a wide range of specialized methods/techniques for planning; analyzing and identifying problems in order to develop and implement resolutions to administrative and systemic programs throughout the organization.

Education

If using education to qualify for this position: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree Graduate Education: Education at the graduate level (above a Bachelor's Degree) in an accredited college or university. Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. You must provide Official Transcripts as documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. This position includes information assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six-month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.
