Technology Operations Manager - Major Incident Management

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Operations Manager to lead teams within the Technology Major Incident Management (TMIM) organization. This leader will oversee enterprise incident response operations, coordinate recovery of high-impact technology disruptions, and partner with senior leaders across Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Engineering, and Business organizations to protect service availability and customer experience. Operating within the Technology Command Center, this team manages over 100 significant technology incidents each month and serves as the firm's central coordination point during major operational events. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational leadership, crisis management experience, executive communication skills, and a passion for developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Successful candidates will lead teams that:

• Direct recovery efforts during high-impact technology incidents
• Coordinate enterprise-wide response activities across multiple technology and business organizations
• Drive continuous improvement in incident management, operational resilience, and service restoration processes
• Provide executive-level communication, situational awareness, and decision support during critical events
• Develop and mentor incident management professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence
• Strengthen operational readiness through process improvements, automation, analytics, governance, and resilience initiatives.

In this role, you will:

• Provide management direction and leadership of technology command center teams either via direct line or through dotted line influence
• Manage and develop teams of individual contributors and command center leaders in roles with moderate complexity and risk in Technology Operations
• Regularly interacts with technical first responder teams including IT Operations, Cyber Fusion Center, and Digital Channels etc
• Regularly interact with senior managers and leaders concerning business process impact during large incidents
• Engage and interact with line of business and technology leaders of Enterprise IT Process Technology Operations Management, managers, and subject matter experts
• Identify and recommend opportunities for technology operations process improvements
• Drive key strategic initiatives associated with technology availability
• Work with IT risk management, compliance and all lines of defense, including Audit, to ensure platform risks are proactively managed
• Develop and guide a culture of availability and talent development to meet business objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Systems Engineering, and Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 5+ years of experience with Technology Major Incident Management 
• 2+ years of Leadership experience.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in operations, resource, and capacity management
• Experience with driving large scale organization change management initiatives
• Experience in application production support and understanding technology management.
