Business Systems Analyst Enterprise Migrations DCA#2239

Openings: 2 (one Technical/SIT Lead, one Functional/UAT Lead)
Work Arrangement: Remote (USA only); onsite in Buffalo, NY strongly preferred or Pittsburgh, PA.
Duration: ~18 months ( 3,128 hours per role; 40 hrs/week, 8 hrs/day)

Overview

Serve as the testing and conversion lead across three concurrent migrations. Own SIT, UAT, and End-to-End testing; coordinate dress rehearsals and go-live conversions; run command-center/war-room calls to keep execution on track. Role requires a strong grasp of functional and non-functional testing, data reconciliation, and integrated system flows (APIs, file transfers, batch). Banking/Financial Services experience is preferred, but strong candidates from other industries will be considered.

Program Context (Expere / Collate / AFS)

  • Wolters Kluwer Expere document solution (smallest workstream).
  • Broadridge Collate collateral management (mid-size workstream).
  • AFS loan accounting upgrade from AFS Level III to AFSVision (primary workstream).

The BSA V team will drive testing and conversion readiness across all three, with a heavy emphasis on the AFS Level III AFSVision upgrade.

Role Split (2 openings)

  • Technical BSA SIT Lead: Deeper technical focus; leads SIT, batch/API/file validations, environment readiness, tool usage, and defect SLAs across platforms.
  • Functional BSA UAT Lead: Business-facing; leads UAT, test planning/execution with SMEs, acceptance criteria, and sign-off governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test leadership & governance: Plan/run SIT, UAT, E2E; define entry/exit criteria; manage defect triage, metrics, and executive status.
  • Command center orchestration: Lead bridge/war-room calls for rapid triage, escalation, and resolution during testing, dress rehearsals, and go-live.
  • Requirements & traceability: Elicit/document business/functional requirements, data mappings, and end-to-end traceability.
  • Test assets & execution: Write test plans and scripts/cases (incl. non-functional and factory/office re-testing); coordinate testers; ensure audit-ready evidence.
  • Integration scope: Understand system architecture, APIs, file transfers, and batch scheduling/testing; validate interface contracts and error handling.
  • Data reconciliation: Ensure balances and controls match across systems after batch/file/API runs and at conversion cutover/closeout.
  • Quality & compliance: Monitor scope/change; adhere to corporate standards, risk appetite, and regulatory expectations.
  • Post-implementation: Capture lessons learned; finalize debrief (timeline/financials vs. plan); close defects and documentation.
  • Mentorship: Coach junior analysts; facilitate meetings; document minutes, decisions, and actions.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years combined higher education and/or operational/business analytics experience.
  • Proven leadership in SIT/UAT/E2E test management and conversion coordination on financial or similarly complex enterprise programs.
  • Ability to write business requirements and test scripts/cases; strong defect management/reporting.
  • Jira required; Zephyr (test management on Jira) strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills; proficiency with common project/test toolsets (e.g., ADO/Jira, Excel, SharePoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Experience with AFS Level III and/or AFSVision, Broadridge Collate, and Wolters Kluwer Expere.
  • Background in document management migrations, collateral platforms, and large-scale conversions.
  • Strong grasp of data mapping, reconciliations, GL impacts, and integrated application ecosystems.
  • Comfortable leading war-rooms, factory/office re-testing, and non-functional/performance scenarios.
  • Industry: Banking/Financial Services preferred; open to strong candidates from other industries with demonstrable testing/conversion leadership.

Notes from Client

This is a contract engagement within the Expere / Collate / AFS Level III AFSVision program. Preference is for candidates who can support Buffalo-based stakeholders (with Pittsburgh as a secondary hub), though Remote (USA only) is acceptable for the right profiles especially if they can lead SIT (technical BSA) or UAT (functional BSA) effectively across distributed teams.
