Overview:
Client is seeking an Application Developer to support Archer development initiatives and system enhancements. Working under the supervision of a senior developer/manager, this role involves delivering well-structured application solutions, supporting Archer SaaS conversions, and leveraging PowerShell/SSIS for automation and integration. You will participate in both day-to-day support and project-based work, contributing to system analysis, development, and testing while ensuring adherence to Clients regulatory and risk standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform systems analysis, design, and development for small to medium-scope projects.
- Provide Archer development expertise (35 years required; configuration/admin experience does not apply).
- Support Archer SaaS development and conversion initiatives.
- Utilize PowerShell and SSIS for automation, scripting, and data integration.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and technology teams on integrated testing and delivery.
- Prepare test data, execute test plans, and participate in debugging activities.
- Develop technical and functional specifications, flowcharts, diagrams, and documentation.
- Recommend new technologies, tools, or processes to improve applications and systems.
- Provide consultation to internal teams on supported applications and processes.
- Adhere to Clients risk, compliance, and internal control standards.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives by contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree (or 2 years related work experience).
- 35 years of Archer Development experience (not configuration/admin).
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and application development alternatives.
- Experience with development tools, application support software, and hardware platforms.
- Familiarity with PowerShell and SSIS for automation and ETL tasks.
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to learn and apply new technical skills quickly.
Preferred Qualifications (if applicable):
- Basic project management skills.
- 1+ year experience in systems analysis and application development.
- Broad understanding of business unit functions and how they integrate with IT.
- General knowledge of enterprise application frameworks.
- Experience with Archer SaaS conversions in financial services environments.
