Job Description
Technical Product Managers at U.S. Bank oversee the strategic product management for an assigned technical product line(s) in support of the Enterprise organization’s goals and market needs. The Technical Product Manager engages with key stakeholders to define, document, and prioritize features; ensures delivery of marketable capabilities for all U.S. Bank engineering teams while collaborating with agile teams.
As a Technical Data Product Manager, you will:
Aligns the strategic vision with cross-functional stakeholders to shape outcome-based product roadmap, product risk, investment areas and success measures.
Drives product development with ownership of backlog and actively engages cross-functional stakeholders to enable faster speed to market.
Manages across Enterprise users to define and deliver product performance goals (e.g., outcomes, customer experience, etc.).
Owns all engagement for assigned technical portfolio regarding the SDLC, e.g., adoption, collaboration.
Develops, analyses, monitors, and reports on performance metrics from internal and external sources to identify key trends and opportunities for continuous improvement. Uses performance metrics to drive towards progress on identified strategies and initiatives.
Lead disciplined defect management and issue prioritization processes that continuously improve data quality and consumer confidence.
Define and track key product health metrics, adoption metrics, service levels, and quality indicators.
Leverages OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) to drive roadmap priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and execute the product vision, roadmap, and strategic direction for AC360, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy and business objectives.
Establish and maintain clear ownership boundaries between enterprise-managed customer and relationship data and domain-owned data products.
Partner with engineering, architecture, and platform teams to evaluate technical solutions, tradeoffs, dependencies, and modernization opportunities.
Translate business requirements into actionable product capabilities, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
Prioritize and manage the product backlog, balancing new feature development, technical debt reduction, defect remediation, governance needs, and operational stability.
Lead enterprise data governance initiatives by collaborating with Data Office, MDM, architecture, and business stakeholders to improve data quality, lineage, controls, and compliance.
Drive proactive risk management by identifying impacts from upstream system changes, schema modifications, pipeline enhancements, and platform evolution.
Define and monitor product performance metrics, adoption measures, service levels, operational health indicators, and consumer satisfaction metrics to continuously improve product value.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience in Technical Data Product Management
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Required Skills/Experience:
Technical Product Management Experience; Experience defining product strategy, roadmaps, backlogs, requirements, acceptance criteria, and product success measures. Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence.
Clear written and verbal communication across both deeply technical and business-facing discussions.
Strong Data Analytics Skills with Tools like SQL, Python, Spark etc.
A working understanding of data engineering and architecture sufficient to engage credibly with engineers and architects.
Strong knowledge on data architecture, modeling, data pipelines, data quality, lineage, metadata, governance, and dependency management.
Ability to assess technical choices through the lenses of customer value, scalability, maintainability, operational risk, and control.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Familiarity with modern cloud and analytics platforms, including Databricks, distributed data processing, and enterprise data platform modernization initiatives.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes.
Experience managing technically complex data products, enterprise data platforms, or analytics products.
Strong judgment in balancing strategic product development with production support and operational stability
Location expectations:
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
