Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Vice President of Strategic Development to lead the establishment and execution of a strategic growth campaign for the US Space Force (USSF) account of our Space Sector. The successful candidate will be a collaborative partner to the Space Sector President and the Sector leadership team, supporting organizational transformation and driving expansion across our USSF account and within additional, space-oriented Department of War (DoW) customers to deliver growth. You will assess new business opportunities and formulate a pipeline of addressable pursuits, remaining abreast of trends, news, events, and deadlines, so that all possible, new, or enhanced opportunities are exploited, and ensuring all relevant financial data and models are validated for targeted opportunities.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
- Partner with the Space Sector President and the leadership team to develop a comprehensive strategic plan to advance Peraton’s mission and objectives, and to drive revenue growth and profitability within the USSF mission set(s).
- Develop and lead a strategy that orients Sector Business and Operating Units around compelling Peraton offerings that generate near and long-term actions, and fosters alignment across the Peraton enterprise.
- Drive account planning, deal prioritization, customer engagement strategies, and internal and external communication.
- Lead strategic business reviews and planning sessions.
- Support continued development of the Space Sector’s established annual and/or multi-year business planning processes and outputs (e.g., revenue forecasting, pipeline management, people growth).
- Coordinate and participate in Space Sector communications across customers, partners and industry organizations that ensure consistent messaging, increases capability and brand awareness, and further positions Peraton as the leader in delivering critical space mission outcomes.
- Develop and implement an approach for identifying, qualifying, and engaging with partner organizations, and support business unit efforts to enter or scale strategic partnerships.
- Support operations personnel with on-contract growth by leveraging corporate and Sector thought leaders for drive innovation and to resolve arising program issues.
- Facilitate communication and partnership between Peraton sectors, growth teams, and operations (line of business), promoting collaboration and increased speed to deliver.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or relevant field
- A minimum of 20 years of experience successfully selling and delivering mission critical IT programs in government
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI level clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen
- Deep understanding of Federal agencies’ missions and experience delivering a broad range of services, solutions, and technology to clients
- Proven ability to develop strategic plans that are tightly aligned to accounts, opportunities and Peraton capabilities that produce results
- Experience collaborating across senior government IT and mission operators to align priorities to legislative actions and trends in acquisition strategies
- Ability to engage at all levels of the organization - quickly developing trust, collaborating, and driving actions
- A proven track record of delivering high-value results for Clients with limited direction in mission environments with fluid priorities
- High-energy, strategic problem solver with excellent judgment and a passion for our customer’s mission
- Ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams
- Effective communication skills

Target Salary Range
$229,000 - $366,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
