Senior EHS Manager – Food & Beverage Manufacturing

Our client is seeking an EHS Manager to lead the organization's environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce operational risk, and strengthen a culture of safety and sustainability. This role is responsible for developing strategy, driving continuous improvement, and supporting safe, compliant manufacturing operations across the facility.

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–5:00PM

Responsibilities:

• Deliver EHS training programs for employees and leadership.
• Maintain and test emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Supervise and mentor EHS staff or site‑level coordinators (if applicable)
• Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, reporting, and follow‑up actions.
• Support sustainability initiatives, environmental reporting, and climate‑related disclosures.
• Lead facility audits, inspections, and assessments; identify gaps and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor and analyze EHS metrics and KPIs to evaluate program effectiveness and inform strategic decisions.
• Partner with operations, HR, legal, and engineering to embed EHS into daily processes and organizational culture.
• Serve as subject matter expert in environmental compliance, hazardous waste management, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and workplace safety.
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures aligned with OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, ISO 14001/45001, and applicable state/local regulations.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Experience in food & beverage manufacturing.
• Professional EHS certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent)
• Proven leadership, communication, and change‑management skills.
• 8+ years of progressive EHS experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ISO 14001/45001, and other relevant regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.

• Experience with EHS software platforms such as Enablon, Intelex, or VelocityEHS.
