2nd Shift Production Supervisor – Assembly Manufacturing

Our client is seeking a Production Supervisor to serve as the first‑line leader for an assigned assembly area within a high‑volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating daily production activities, supporting team members, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring scheduled output is achieved. The ideal candidate demonstrates servant leadership, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

This position oversees a defined production zone and acts as the primary point of contact for team members during the shift. The supervisor collaborates with technical support teams to resolve production issues and may interact with labor‑relations representatives when addressing workplace matters. Consistent onsite presence and reliable transportation are required due to shift hours and operational needs.

Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:00PM–1:00AM (additional workdays as needed)

Compensation: $70,000–$85,000 base + $6,000 annual shift differential + 5% bonus

Responsibilities:

• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with technical support teams to resolve equipment or process issues.
• Maintain a respectful, inclusive environment aligned with servant leadership principles.
• Address employee relations matters professionally and respectfully, escalating when appropriate.
• Support operating metrics by establishing goals, monitoring performance, and driving improvements.
• Ensure employees receive proper training in safety, quality, equipment operation, and 5S standards.
• Lead and reinforce a safety‑first culture through daily practices, training, and proactive risk reduction.
• Maintain production flow, monitor work-in-progress, and support adherence to scheduling requirements.
• Coach, mentor, and support production team members to achieve performance, quality, and safety goals.
• Promote continuous improvement by encouraging team participation in Kaizen, waste reduction, and process enhancements.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to lead using a servant leadership approach.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, and supervising team members in a production environment.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Prior experience in production or assembly supervision.
• Internship, co‑op, or professional experience in manufacturing operations.
• 1–3 years of experience in medium/high‑volume, fast‑paced manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Kanban, process control, and production scheduling.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to stoop, bend, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks.
