Job Description
BASIC FUNCTIONS
You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day Crib (machine spare parts warehouse) operations at the Charleston plant while adhering to Bosch’s established standards and procedures. You will be required to display a high level of associate involvement, teamwork, and precision to provide continuous improvement ideas and demonstrate strong customer focus.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect and issue spare part orders as received (including utilizing PIT equipment)
- Stock incoming material in designated location
- Perform inventory audits as required
- Follow deviation management processes
- Ensure 5S in the crib is maintained
- Work to ensure KPI’s are met
- Follow plant safety and environmental policies
- Escalate concerns for material, technical, and quality issues
- Support additional tasks for the crib as required (including receiving process)
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the TEF3 Crib FLM.
INTERACTION
This position interacts with Operators, Operational Technicians, Special Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers and Leadership
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Some college preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years or older
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with supervision and other personnel
- Familiar with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Must be able to function in a noisy and fast paced environment
- Demonstrates self-initiative
- Has attention to detail
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
- Deep understanding of 5S principles
- SAP knowledge in general
- SAP knowledge on transactions related to work orders, reservations, and issuing of spare parts a plus
- PIT (forklift / Drexel) knowledge a plus
- Experience working with direct / indirect material processes a plus
