The Boeing CompanyBoeing Global Services is looking for an Experienced Supply Chain Specialist/Field Supply Chain Specialist to join our team in/at Stewart Air National Guard Base – Maquire Way, Newburgh, New YorkÂ
The Field Supply Chain Specialist (Level 3) will focus on providing on-site field supply chain services in support of the C-17 aircraft. The successful candidate will understand the importance of supply chain processes and procedures as this position will focus on working directly with the Air Force and other teammates to coordinate daily activities to enable the C-17 Field Supply Chain team to meet their organizational goals and contractual performance metrics.Â
Position Responsibilities:
Assists in analyzing post-production supply chain data to define reorder points and quantitiesÂ
Enter, track, monitor and coordinate customer material and delivery requirementsÂ
Processes material returned from customersÂ
Assists in the analysis of supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities, capacity, and performanceÂ
Processes documentation associated with repair items and warranty claimsÂ
Responsible for the daily activities of the on-site Boeing warehouse functions supporting the C-17 programÂ
Required to process repair induction documents for aircraft parts. Also responsible for data entry into automated systems to ensure parts availabilityÂ
Requires the ability to operate and maintain material handling equipment, perform shipping and receiving operations, hazardous materials shipping, traffic management operations, export control, and packaging and cratingÂ
Coordinate daily tasks with on-site Lead to align priorities for smooth operation of workloads.  Applicant will work according to established Boeing and Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA) requirements for warehousing operations. Be proficient in the operation of mechanized and manual materials handling equipment, hand tools and other equipment related to materials storage, control, and transportationÂ
Ability to observe, count, and maintain stock levels to match names, codes, numbers, or size of items with lists on which these items are shown.  Ability to recognize poor or unacceptable quality of parts prior to shipment.  Coordinate with various departments to expedite and complete movement of material and parts to required locationsÂ
Exercise innovative problem-solving skillsÂ
Provide status and updates to the Stewart Air Force customer, Boeing Base Manager, and Boeing on-site Team Leader as requiredÂ
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
4+ years of total related work experience
3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Supply Chain PlanningÂ
2+ years of warehouse experience in packaging and cratingÂ
2+ years of experience working with hazardous materialsÂ
2+ years of experience in shipping and receiving (including export control)Â
2+ years of experience operating powered material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)Â
Experience with Power Point, Excel, Outlook, and WordÂ
Ability to travel 10% of the time - internationally and domestically
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final post-start U.S. Top Secret clearance and Special Program Access is required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Prior Supply Chain experience supporting a post-production productÂ
5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Supply Chain PlanningÂ
3+ years of warehouse experience in packaging and cratingÂ
1+ years of experience in analyzing statistical dataÂ
Ability to work independentlyÂ
Ability to provide on-duty weekend coverage as requiredÂ
Ability to properly communicate written/verbalÂ
