JOB DESCRIPTION:
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
We are seeking a high caliber and ambitious Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Sylmar, CA. The Supply Chain Manager of Lifecycle Management will support the lifecycle of our product supply, including but not limited to New Product Introduction (NPI) and End of Life (EOL) product planning alignment.
The lead in this role supports new product development (NPD), product transfer, and engineering projects and is responsible for managing and executing all supply chain requirements and objectives to support overall business objectives.
This position provides an opportunity for key talent to develop toward future Supply Chain or Operations Leadership roles within the business. The role will have significant visibility to Senior Management and carries high expectations. This position will also have people leader responsibilities for highly skilled direct report(s).
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages supply chain program/product lifecycle management processes and execution for NPD and EOL.
- Engages planning teams to develop demand and supply plans during the new product development and EOL processes.
- Engages commodity managers and buyers during the design phase (early supplier involvement) and serves as a key participant in supplier selection for the program.
- Coordinates material purchasing schedules and inspection releases, working closely with cross-functional supply chain and supply quality groups. Assesses EOL and last-time-buy decision timeframes for leadership approval and alignment.
- Responsible for execution of all supply chain requirements and objectives of NPD, including total landed material cost analysis, lead time analysis, contingency planning, and risk mitigation.
- Ensures supply chain material master data in the ERP system is accurately updated before a product is released for commercial production.
- Represents the supply chain program management function while working with R&D, Operations, Engineering, and other departments as necessary during product development and launch planning processes.
- Provides key NPD and EOL program/product updates to Senior Management.
- Develops ramp-up and ramp-down schedules as products transfer from one site to another.
- Supports supply and demand discussions regarding new product and end-of-life demand assumptions.
- Identifies and manages process improvement projects that improve customer service levels, enhance product flow, minimize supply chain costs, and improve asset management.
- Partners with Engineering, Production, and Global teams on continuous improvement projects.
- Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
- Maintains positive and cooperative communication and collaboration with employees, customers, and suppliers at all levels.
- Provides input and consultation into annual long-range planning for new products and end-of-life assumption alignment with Commercial and R&D functions.
- Directly manages highly skilled direct report(s).
- Maintains a safe and professional work environment.

- Progressively more responsible materials management experience or experience in a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience at a supervisory or managerial level.
- Multi-disciplinary knowledge with expertise in regulatory requirements for implantable cardiac devices.
- Familiarity with applicable FDA regulations, domestic and international regulatory submission requirements, and the ability to work within those constraints, as well as company operating procedures, policies, processes, and tasks.
- Supply chain or operations experience supporting new product launches, including functions such as demand and supply planning, procurement, supplier development, and manufacturing.
- Extensive experience managing cross-functional project teams.
- Skilled in delegation, follow-up, and team building.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally, in writing, and through presentations across all organizational levels, including Senior Leadership.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver research and analysis that adds value to management decision-making.
- Advanced computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, database management, and specialized applications.
- Experience working within a broad enterprise or cross-divisional business model preferred.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse environment.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at multiple organizational levels.

The base pay for this position is
$130,700.00 – $261,300.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
