Summary

About the Position: As a CJIS Compliance Assistant you will be responsible for reviewing criminal justice information, conducting qualitative and compliance focused investigative assistance and other related activities in support of criminal investigations conducted by Army Law Enforcement entities. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

Operate a variety of state-of-the art equipment for the scanning and electronic submission of criminal fingerprint cards to the FBI’s Next Generation Identification System. Utilize specialized software to capture Personally Identifiable Information from fingerprint cards and scanned fingerprint images. Conduct criminal history name checks for the FBI National Crime Information Center (NICS) Section and 13 states. Liaison with Federal Agencies such as the U.S. Marshal Service National Sex Offender Targeting Center and state, territory, and tribal sex offender registries. Research and extract relevant information from various sources for applicable criminal justice information reporting.
