Duties

As a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATIONS), GS-0201-11, you will serve as a Human Resources advisor and technical specialist for position classification, position management, and compensation related areas (i.e. Environmental Differential Pay (EDP/Hazardous Duty Pay (HDP)/ Supervisory Pay Differentials/Wage Surveys/Grade and Pay Retention, etc.). This position also provides manpower advisory services for all levels of command, determines position requirements for structures for State Army National Guard organizations. Utilizes advanced knowledge of a variety of human resources management functions in coordinating actions for these programs. May oversee or accomplish work through an automated personnel system. The position under this announcement is being filled using the National Guard Accelerated Hiring Authority (NG AHA). Selection will be made through a process without applying traditional competitive rating and ranking procedures and where interviews are optional. Merit factors shall be the basis for selection. Merit factors are determined by the individuals' ability to perform the duties of the position. Merit is based on such factors as previous work experience, education, abilities, and competencies. In order to be referred, applicant must meet all general, specialized and education requirements of the position.

Resume: Resumes must be no longer than two-pages in length. The resume must address minimum qualifications and other requirements listed in the job announcement. For current Federal employees: Latest SF50, Personnel Action 4. Official Transcripts: For any education claims (if applicable) 5. Veterans Preference Documentation: You must submit a copy of your DD Form-214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty", showing the dates of active duty service, type of discharge and the character of service. Alternatively, If you are a current military member in active duty service and do not have a copy of your DD Form-214, you must submit a written documentation (certification) from your branch of service certifying that you are expected to be discharged or released from active duty under honorable conditions no later than 120 days after the date the certification is submitted with your application for this position. The certification should also include your rank, dates of active duty service and what the condition of discharge is thought to be. If claiming 10-point preference and/or are a 30% or more Disabled Veteran, you must submit both a DD Form-214 or expected discharge documentation as described above AND a copy of a letter from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or your branch of service certifying the presence of service-connected disability and indicating the percentage of disability If you are claiming eligibility based on 10-point derived veterans' preference (i.e. a spouse, widow/widower, or parent of a veteran claiming veterans' preference when the veteran is unable to use it), you must also submit a Standard Form 15 (SF-15) "Application for 10-Point Veteran's Preference" and any required documents indicated on the SF-15 to substantiate the claimed preference. 6. DoD Retained Grade preference must submit the following documentation: Retained Grade PPP Self Certification Checklist (DD3145-1), SF-50 effecting the placement in retained grade status, and a copy of the notification letter received (RIF or classification downgrade) YOU ARE REQUIRED TO DOCUMENT, IN YOUR APPLICATION PACKAGE, EVIDENCE THAT SUPPORTS YOUR ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATION CLAIMS. You must upload the applicable documents with your application package. These documents will assist the staffing specialist in determining your eligibility and competency qualifications. If you do not upload the required and/or informational documents, then you must document in your application package (resume) the information needed to determine your eligibility. If selected, you must submit all requested documents at the time of tentative job offer to verify eligibility and qualifications. You will have two business days to submit these documents before a job offer is rescinded.
