Summary
This position is located in the Department of War Office of Inspector General (DoW OIG), Mission Support. The incumbent is responsible for workforce program design, including policy and operations for planning, evaluations, and workforce management to meet OIG mission critical requirements. The incumbent is responsible for oversight of data analysis and reporting; position/billet control; advise management; and associated policies and procedures.
Duties
Direct the development, publication, and communication of the workforce plan, and advise senior OIG leaders (IG, PDIG, DIGs) on workforce planning requirements. Partner with OIG leadership to design and implement systems, analyses, and processes that define the optimal workforce mix (civilian, contractor, shared services) for current and long-term mission needs. Lead organizational assessments, workload studies, and analytical projects (e.g., attrition modeling, trend analysis, gap analysis) to inform workforce decisions and future requirements. Provide expert guidance on workforce allocations to ensure alignment with the OIG’s Financial Management Office and support transparent, data-driven Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) decisions. Maintain oversight of position allocation and billet tracking systems, ensure compliance with workforce planning laws and policies, and coordinate implementation of new workforce management technologies and best practices.
