Welltech Partners is partnering with a thriving, established wellness center in Loves Park, Illinois, to hire an Acupuncturist to join its growing multidisciplinary team. Serving the Rockford community for over 18 years, this integrated practice combines chiropractic care, rehabilitation, massage therapy, acupuncture, functional wellness services, and medical aesthetics under one roof.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient consultations and assessments to identify treatment needs and determine appropriate acupuncture therapies
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnoses, medical history, symptoms, and wellness goals
  • Review medical records and physician orders, as applicable, to identify contraindications and precautions before treatment
  • Provide professional acupuncture treatments to help manage pain, alleviate symptoms, and promote overall well-being
  • Monitor patient responses and progress, adjusting treatment plans as appropriate
  • Educate patients on treatment expectations, complementary wellness strategies, and appropriate self-care practices
  • Discuss relevant supplements and essential oils when appropriate to support patients' wellness goals
  • Communicate effectively with patients to understand their concerns and provide personalized care
  • Collaborate with chiropractors, massage therapists, rehabilitation staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
  • Participate in multidisciplinary patient care discussions and wellness education initiatives, as applicable
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and complete required duties in a timely manner
  • Follow established clinical protocols, professional standards, and applicable state regulations

Qualifications

Required

  • Degree or graduate-level education in Acupuncture or Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from an accredited institution
  • Current Illinois Acupuncture License in good standing
  • Current CPR/BLS certification, as applicable
  • Professional liability insurance or the ability to obtain coverage
  • Strong communication, assessment, and patient relationship-building skills
  • Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and adapt care to patient needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
  • Flexibility to travel between practice locations as needed

Preferred

  • Experience treating musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, or injury-related concerns
  • Knowledge of integrative health, complementary therapies, and holistic wellness approaches
  • Experience collaborating with chiropractors, rehabilitation professionals, massage therapists, or other healthcare providers
  • Familiarity with evidence-informed acupuncture practices and patient education
