Summary
The Supervisor Medical Supply Technician (MST) position is located at the Eastern Colorado Health Care System located in Aurora, CO. within the Sterile Processing Service (SPS). The primary purpose of this position is to exercise direct supervision of the Services' Medical Supply Technicians and Lead Medical Supply Technicians.
Duties
Some of the duties associated with this position include, but are not limited to the following: Schedule and assign tasks to ensure consistent coverage of all duties. Monitor and evaluate the amount, accuracy and timeliness of work production. Ensure condition and maintenance of all equipment and supplies. Provide adequate orientation and training in the duties of the department, safety requirements, VA mandates and other applicable rules and regulations. Manage employee time and attendance. Oversee problem resolution presented by subordinates, and when necessary, initiate disciplinary action. Assess the impact of any issues or problems within the department and advise management. Develop and maintain functional statements and performance standards. Conduct ongoing employee evaluation, including performance appraisals. Assist in recruitment, interview and selection of candidates. Perform supervisory and/or managerial duties and responsibilities in the absence of another Supervisor, Assistant Chief or Chief of SPS. Requirements
You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this job. Receiving Service Credit or Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave: Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee.
