We're seeking dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who are passionate about helping others and making a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and families for our Acute Care Floor. Our CNAs will work with our Medical Surgical and Intermediate/Cardiac Stepdown patients to deliver top-notch patient care.

  • Location: Beloit Memorial Hospital - Beloit, WI
  • Sign-On Bonus: Yes
  • Shift: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift available
  • Schedule: 6:45a-3:15p, 2:45p-11:15p, 10:45p-7:15a
  • Hours per week: 24-32 hours per week
  • Benefits Status: Benefits Eligible
  • Department: Medical Surgical & Intermediate/Cardiac Stepdown

What You'll Do

As a Hospital CNA, you'll work alongside nurses and healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care and support throughout the hospital. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs
  • Assisting with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation
  • Providing comfort, dignity, and emotional support to patients
  • Answering call lights and responding promptly to patient needs
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
  • Supporting nursing staff with patient care activities
  • Accurately documenting care provided according to hospital standards
  • Perform the following procedures and appropriately documents:
    • K-pad application
    • Apply non-sterile compress
    • Set up basic traction frames
    • Proper use of EPC's
    • Foley catheter removal
    • Empty colostomy bags
    • Obtain clean catch urine specimen
  • May fulfill the role and assist with cardiac monitoring if EKG course graduate and/or score 85% or higher on BMH EKG exam.

Job Requirements:

  • Current CNA certification in Wisconsin
  • BLS/CPR certification within 3 months of hire
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital setting
  • Demonstrates ability to do simple math functions.
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required
