Job Description
The Loan Servicing Analysis and Support Processor supports the accurate and timely servicing of commercial bilateral loan inquiries by reviewing loan documentation, validating system information, completing assigned operational research, and documenting actions taken. The Processor applies established procedures and job aids to identify discrepancies, gather required information, and provide clear support to bankers, relationship managers, and internal partners responding to customer inquiries.
The position includes routine to moderately complex servicing activities, including review of loan information, comparison of documentation to the commercial lending system of record (AFS), preparation and validation of supporting detail, and maintenance of accurate records. The Processor follows defined procedures, uses sound judgment within established guidelines, and escalates non-routine or unclear items to the appropriate resource or leader.
The Processor contributes to customer remediation events, data validation efforts, and process improvement activities by reviewing existing processes, documenting current-state steps, identifying opportunities to simplify workflow, and supporting updates to procedures, checklists, and job aids.
Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, organizational discipline, accuracy, follow-through, and the ability to manage assigned work in a high-volume operational environment while collaborating effectively with team members and business partners.
Location expectations
This role requires working from this U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week: 1310 Madrid Street Marshall, MN 56258
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Four to five years or more of operations services related work experience
Key Responsibilities
- Process servicing activities for commercial bilateral loans in alignment with internal policies, loan documentation standards, regulatory requirements, and established procedures.
- Review assigned work for accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and appropriate supporting documentation while meeting established service level agreements (SLAs) and quality expectations.
- Research and resolve routine to moderately complex discrepancies through document review, system comparison, payment or amortization review, and consultation with procedural guidance.
- Review loan files, transaction histories, and system data to gather facts, validate required information, and support accurate handling of customer or banker inquiries.
- Document research steps, decisions, outcomes, and open items in a clear, consistent manner so work can be reviewed, tracked, and supported for audit or quality purposes.
- Review existing processes and procedures to identify unclear steps, duplicative activities, handoff issues, or opportunities to simplify the workflow.
- Assist with documenting current-state processes, creating or updating job aids, checklists, desk procedures, and simplified reference materials for recurring tasks.
- Escalate process gaps, risks, data concerns, and non-routine servicing issues through the appropriate team or governance channel.
- Collaborate with internal partners across Operations, Risk, Compliance, and other functional teams engaged in commercial loan servicing.
- Support reporting and data review activities by compiling information, validating data points, and helping summarize observations for leadership or business partners.
- Experience with commercial loan servicing, loan documentation, or related operational processing preferred.
- Experience with AFS, amortization schedules, system research, or financial transaction review preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to accuracy, data integrity, and complete documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage assigned work, follow up on open items, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Excel, reporting tools, or data review practices preferred.
- Ability to follow procedures, interpret loan documentation and operational guidance, and escalate when additional direction is needed.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document findings and explain process steps clearly.
- Proven ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively across the team and with business partners.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
