This National Guard position is for a BUDGET OFFICER, Position Description Number T5152P01 and is part of the UNITED STATES PROPERTY AND FISCAL OFFICE, National Guard. Duties
As a BUDGET OFFICER (GS-0560-12), you will provide management oversight and guidance to budget formulation and execution processes. The incumbent is recognized as a technical authority regarding fiscal and budgetary policy, law, and regulatory guidelines for the organization. This position accomplishes budget functions in support of organizational and Federal National Guard operations, training, and readiness missions and maintains staff responsibility over complex annual budgets. Serves as a Budget Officer responsible for all budgetary operations necessary to support plans, programs and activities of the organization.

Applicants claiming Priority Placement Program, DoD MR and NG Preference Eligible Tech Receiving Disability Retirement must submit the following documentation: - Military Reserve and Technician Disability PPP Self Certification Checklist (DD 3145-2) - Termination SF-50 Separation stating that the applicant has Priority Placement Eligibility - Notice of Separation confirming of eligibility. Applicant claiming Priority Placement Program, DoD Retained Grade Employees must submit the following documentation: -DoD Retained Grade Self Certification Checklist (DD 3145-1) - SF-50 effecting the placement in retained grade status - Copy of the notification letter the employee received (RIF or classification downgrade) Applicants claiming Priority Placement Program, Military Spouse Preference must submit the following documentation: - DoD Military Spouse Preference Self Certification Checklist (DD 3145-4) - Sponsor's PCS Orders - Proof of Military member's current active duty status - Marriage Certificate

If you are a male applicant who was born after 12/31/1959 and are required to register under the Military Selective Service Act, the Defense Authorization Act of 1986 requires that you be registered or you are not eligible for appointment in this agency (Register | Selective Service System : Selective Service System (sss.gov)). ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. Head of Agency requests to exceed 14 days in a calendar year must be approved in advance by the National Guard, Director of Manpower and Personnel This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). The employee is subject to random drug testing. Preemployment drug testing and participation in random drug testing is a condition of employment. Note: The caveat is that the states, territories, and the district cannot drug test until a drug free workplace policy has been established and approved by the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
