WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will be part of Nike’s Corporate Accounting team within Global Controlling, helping drive the integrity of worldwide financial reporting and close processes. Reporting to the Director, Close and Consolidations, you’ll partner closely with Global and Geography Controlling, External Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Technology, Master Data, Global Business Planning, and internal and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

This individual brings a deep understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), financial reporting requirements, and audit processes, with the ability to connect financial performance to the business drivers behind the numbers. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, navigate complexity with confidence, and bring a collaborative approach to problem solving across a broad network of stakeholders. A successful candidate is detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and proactive in identifying opportunities to improve processes and controls. Strong communication skills, sound professional judgment, and the ability to influence and engage partners at multiple levels are essential to success in this role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting and industry experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with financial and accounting reporting systems, including SAP preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), external audit requirements, and financial reporting

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will help lead the Close and Consolidation process that supports Nike’s worldwide financial reporting. Working across global finance teams, you’ll ensure financial data is accurate, complete, and delivered on time while driving process improvements that strengthen reporting quality and operational effectiveness.
  • Review consolidation entries, account analyses, supporting schedules, and key financial calculations across monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
  • Lead the monitoring, validation, and reconciliation of data within the consolidated financial reporting system to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Partner with Global and Geography Controlling teams, External Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Technology, Master Data, and Global Business Planning to resolve accounting matters and support business initiatives
  • Support the preparation and review of footnote disclosures and supporting schedules for Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings
  • Perform and maintain Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and documentation to support compliance and audit readiness
  • Lead the review of the Consolidated Balance Sheet process, coordinating globally with subject matter experts to ensure accurate reporting
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and deliver ad hoc financial analysis that supports management decision-making and reporting requirements
