Civil Engineer – Civil & Commercial Construction

Our client is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial and civil construction projects. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with project management teams, field personnel, subcontractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from initial planning through project completion.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and field operations, along with the ability to effectively balance technical engineering responsibilities and project coordination activities.

Responsibilities:

• Help identify and resolve field-related and engineering issues.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction activities and project performance.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction projects.
• Provide engineering support to project managers, superintendents, and field teams.
• Assist with project documentation, reporting, scheduling, and record management.
• Support projects through all phases, including planning, execution, and closeout.
• Promote jobsite safety, quality standards, and professional construction practices.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• 5+ years of direct experience.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project locations as needed.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Comfortable working in both office and active construction-site environments.
• Civil engineering, construction engineering, or construction project experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience supporting commercial, industrial, or civil construction projects.
• Experience coordinating with field operations and project management teams.
• Familiarity with project documentation, scheduling, and construction processes.
